The registration for 2012 is only possible online ( with credit card payment. Until 31st December 2011 the entry fee is CHF 675.00 (+ 5% Active Fee). From 1st January 2012, the entry fee is CHF 755.00 (+ 5% Active Fee). Entries can be accepted until shortly before the event as long as the maximum number of entries has not been reached. The organiser retains the right to refuse entries with or without giving a reason.

The entry fee includes:

  • Starting Slot
  • Finisher Medal
  • Finisher Shirt
  • Diploma (with split times, final time and finishing position)
  • Emergency Bike Doctor
  • Attractive starter bag with Give-Aways
  • Food during and after the event
  • 1 ticket for the Welcome Party
  • 1 ticket for the Awards Banquet

The entry is only valid on receipt of the entry fee and when the name

appears on the starting list. Start numbers will be issued to the athletes on that list at the end of May.


Terms and conditions of the organiser regarding the reimbursement:            

Until 15th March 2012:      50 % reimbursement
From 16th March 2012 until 15th May 2012: 25 % reimbursement
From 16th May 2012: no reimbursement

The terms and conditions, listed above, apply to all cases, i.e. injuries, illness, business appointments and others.

Starting slots cannot be transferred to someone else or to the next event.



The prize money of US$ 75'000.– will be distributed equally to the men and women as follows:

1st place: US$ 12'000.–
2nd place: US$ 8'000.–
3rd place: US$ 5'500.– 
4th place: US$ 4'000.–
5th place: US$ 3'500.–
6th place: US$ 2'000.–
7th place: US$ 1'500.–
8th place: US$ 1'000.–

The prize money will be paid out after the results of the doping tests have been received. Please note that the Source Tax will have to be deducted from payments to athletes from outside Switzerland. The first three athletes of all age groups will receive material prizes. The prizes must be collected personally at the awards ceremony. No prizes will be sent by mail.


Age Groups / Qualification Hawaii
The allocation of the slots in categories is also dependant on the number of the actual bookings and is definitive only upon receipt of the last registrations.

The distribution of the Hawaii-Slots will be done a few weeks before the race!

*Attention: For the age group at the Ironman Zurich Switzerland, powered by ewz counts the age on 31th December 2012!

Note: An athlete who wins a starting slot for the Ford Ironman World Championship and who wishes to take advantage of this qualification must be present at the (Awards Banquet) on Monday, 16th July 2012 to accept the starting slot, and has to bring the entry fee with him/her. The entry fee is approx. CHF 700.– or EUR 550.- and must be in cash.

All these categories require an annual or daily licence of Swiss Triathlon. The daily licence can be bought at the registration in the days before the race for CHF 30.- / EUR 20.-. More infomation about annual licences of Swiss Triathlon on or 031 359 72 80.


The organiser cannot be held responsible for claims with regard to personal injury, damage or loss due to theft.

Attractions during pre-race week Beginning on Wednesday 12th July 2012 and for the rest of the week prior to Ironman Zurich Switzerland, powered by ewz, the athletes and their parties will be able to take advantage of numerous attractions on the Landiwiese in Zurich (see timetable):
