Fraumünster
The church built on the site of a convent founded in 853 by a grandchild of Charlemagne is full of pointers to its Carolingian origins. Those who prefer classical modernism, however, can savour the five Chagall windows from 1970 and a window in the north transept by that great Swiss artist, Augusto Giacometti.
